Five new positive COVID-19 cases reported in region

North Central District Health Department has been made aware of five additional positive COVID-19 cases in the district.

One case in Cherry County is currently under investigation.

One case in Holt County is due to direct contact with a positive individual. All close contacts have been contacted and asked to quarantine.

One case in Knox County is due to community spread and all close contacts have been identified and asked to quarantine.

One case in Pierce County is due to community spread and all close contacts have been notified and asked to quarantine.

One case in Rock County is due to community spread. All close contacts have been identified and asked to quarantine.


Case count update as of Wednesday, Aug. 5., at 3 p.m. includes 95 total cases, 79 recoveries and one death. A reminder that total case numbers are represented first, and of those total cases, the number of recovered persons is represented second and total case-related deaths is represented third.
