Easy does it • Summerland senior Gage Clifton eludes Braedyn Ollendick for a layup. Elkhorn Valley slipped past the Bobcats, 43-42.

The Bobcat boys basketball team came up one point short, Tuesday, against Elkhorn Valley.

A traveling call in the final seconds of the game cemented a 43-42 win for the visiting Falcons.

Summerland jumped for a 9-4 lead and controlled their destiny, 18-8 at the break.

By the beginning of the final quarter, the Bobcats maintained an 11-point lead, up 26-15.

Missed free throw - the Cats made 7 of 23 from the charity stripe - coupled with a scoring spurt from the Falcons narrowed the margin.

Dalton Rotherham poured in 14 points and Gage Clifton added 13. Both pulled down six rebounds.

The Bobcats shot 50% from the two-point range and sank three of nine three-point attempts.
