Wyatt Wagner and Tiana Thramer reign as Ewing homecoming king and queen.

After a mild day for a parade and coronation, Mother Nature cut loose in Ewing, Aug. 30, causing a rain delay in the Renegades versus Hartington-Newcastle football contest.

The game will continue Sept. 20, at 2:30 p.m., in Ewing, with the Renegades leading 14-8 with 10:33 remaining in the third quarter.

Earlier in the day, students in kindergarten through 12 grade participated in the annual parade and pep rally.

The senior class claimed the top spot in the poster contest. Sophomores finished second and seventh grade, third.

In the parade float competition, seniors finished first, junior high ended second and juniors placed third.

Spirit day winners included Tiana Thramer, Liz Burival, Emma Hollenback, Charley Anson, Skylar Eacker, Ashley Koenig, Allison Schrunk, Gavin Whiting, Michael Koenig, Isaak Maxwell, Talya Nilson and Emily Kurpgeweit.
